Thailand Participates in the Reception Celebrating the 5th Anniversary of the ASEAN-China Comprehensive Strategic Partnership and the 35th Anniversary of ASEAN-China Dialogue Relations

On 15 September 2026, H.E. Mr. Chatchai Viriyavejakul, Ambassador of Thailand to China, together with officials of the Royal Thai Embassy in Beijing, attended the Reception Celebrating the 5th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between China and ASEAN and the 35th Anniversary of the Establishment of Dialogue Relations between China and ASEAN , held in Beijing.

The reception provided an important opportunity to reaffirm the longstanding ties between ASEAN and China and to promote greater mutual understanding, trust and closer cooperation, while underscoring the shared commitment to further advancing the ASEAN-China partnership in a more substantive and comprehensive manner based on mutual interests and shared benefits. Key areas of cooperation include the economy, trade and investment, people-to-people ties, as well as emerging and future-oriented fields such as artificial intelligence, clean energy, research and innovation.

The Royal Thai Embassy remains committed to actively contributing to the advancement of the ASEAN-China partnership and promoting tangible cooperation that delivers mutual benefits.

The event was honoured by the presence of H.E. Mr. Peng Qinghua, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress of China; H.E. Dr. Kao Kim Hourn, Secretary-General of ASEAN; H.E. Mr. Yang Wanming, President of the Chinese People's Association for Friendship with Foreign Countries, and H.E. Ms. Shen Minjuan, Director-General of the Department of Asian Affairs, Ministry of Foreign Affairs of China. Ambassadors and representatives of ASEAN Member States in Beijing, as well as representatives of Chinese government agencies, also attended the event, bringing the total attendance to more than 150 participants.

The reception featured cultural performances from ASEAN Member States with Thailand presenting a traditional Thai dance performance that showcased the beauty and distinctive character of Thai arts and culture.

Enhancing the experience, the Royal Thai Embassy also participated in the cultural exhibition presenting Chud Thai and Benjarong porcelains as expression of Thailand’s distinctive cultural heritage.

The eight styles of Thai national costume collectively known as‘ Chud Thai’ were showcased as part of efforts to promote Thailand’s rich cultural heritage and support the nomination of “Chud Thai: The Knowledge, Craftsmanship and Practices of the Thai National Costume” for inscription on the UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity in 2026.

Benjarong reflects the longstanding cultural ties and exchanges between Thailand and China. Its origins are associated with China’s Wucai porcelain, from which Siam developed and commissioned its own designs featuring patterns and motifs inspired by Thai artistic identity. Over time, these evolved into a distinctive form of Thai decorative arts and craftsmanship.

เมื่อวันที่ 15 กันยายน 2569 นายฉัตรชัย วิริยเวชกุล เอกอัครราชทูต ณ กรุงปักกิ่ง พร้อมด้วยเจ้าหน้าที่สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ เข้าร่วมงาน Reception Celebrating the 5th Anniversary of the Establishment of the Comprehensive Strategic Partnership between China and ASEAN and the 35th Anniversary of the Establishment of Dialogue Relations between China and ASEAN ณ กรุงปักกิ่ง ซึ่งจัดขึ้นเพื่อเฉลิมฉลองวาระครบรอบ 5 ปี การสถาปนาความเป็นหุ้นส่วนเชิงยุทธศาสตร์แบบรอบด้านอาเซียน-จีน และครบรอบ 35 ปี ความสัมพันธ์ในฐานะประเทศคู่เจรจาอาเซียน-จีน โดยกิจกรรมดังกล่าวเป็นโอกาสสำคัญในการส่งเสริมความเข้าใจ ความไว้เนื้อเชื่อใจ และความใกล้ชิดระหว่างอาเซียนกับจีน ตลอดจนสะท้อนถึงความมุ่งมั่นร่วมกันในการขับเคลื่อนความสัมพันธ์ให้มีความแน่นแฟ้นและรอบด้านยิ่งขึ้น บนพื้นฐานของผลประโยชน์ร่วมกัน ทั้งในด้านเศรษฐกิจ การค้า การลงทุน ความสัมพันธ์ระหว่างประชาชน ตลอดจนความร่วมมือในสาขาแห่งอนาคต อาทิ ปัญญาประดิษฐ์ พลังงานสะอาด การวิจัยและนวัตกรรม โดยสถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ พร้อมมีส่วนร่วมอย่างแข็งขันในการส่งเสริมและขับเคลื่อนความเป็นหุ้นส่วนอาเซียน-จีนให้เกิดผลเป็นรูปธรรมและนำมาซึ่งประโยชน์ร่วมกันต่อไป

งานดังกล่าวได้รับเกียรติจากนาย Peng Qinghua รองประธานสภาประชาชนแห่งชาติจีน นาย Kao Kim Hourn เลขาธิการอาเซียน นาย Yang Wanming ประธานสมาคมวิเทศสัมพันธ์ประชาชนจีน และ นาง Shen Minjuan อธิบดีกรมเอเชีย กระทรวงการต่างประเทศจีน พร้อมด้วยเอกอัครราชทูตและผู้แทนจาก สถานเอกอัครราชทูตประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน ณ กรุงปักกิ่ง ตลอดจนผู้แทนจากหน่วยงานภาครัฐของจีน เข้าร่วมงาน รวมกว่า 150 คน

ภายในงานมีการจัดแสดงศิลปวัฒนธรรมจากประเทศสมาชิกอาเซียน โดยในส่วนของไทยมีการแสดงรำไทย เพื่อถ่ายทอดความงดงามและเอกลักษณ์ของศิลปวัฒนธรรมไทยแก่ผู้เข้าร่วมงาน นอกจากนี้ สถานเอกอัครราชทูตฯ ได้ร่วมจัดนิทรรศการนำเสนอชุดไทยพระราชนิยมทั้ง 8 แบบ เพื่อเผยแพร่คุณค่าและความงดงามของมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมไทย และสนับสนุนการผลักดันชุดไทยพระราชนิยมขึ้นทะเบียนเป็นมรดกทางวัฒนธรรมที่จับต้องไม่ได้ของมนุษยชาติต่อ UNESCO ในปี 2569 และเครื่องถ้วยเบญจรงค์ ซึ่งสะท้อนถึงความสัมพันธ์และการแลกเปลี่ยนทางวัฒนธรรมระหว่างไทยกับจีนมาอย่างยาวนาน โดยมีที่มาเกี่ยวเนื่องกับเครื่องถ้วยอู่ไฉ่ ( Wucai) ของจีน ก่อนที่สยามจะพัฒนาและสั่งผลิตตามรูปแบบและลวดลายที่สะท้อนอัตลักษณ์ศิลปะไทย จนกลายเป็นงานศิลปหัตถกรรมที่มีเอกลักษณ์เฉพาะของไทย
