Ambassador of Thailand to China delivered the opening remarks at the investment promotion seminar entitled “Exploring Thailand – Thailand’s Business Environment, Promotion Policy and Investment Opportunities & CCOIC Country-themed Salon: Thailand Session”

On June 25, 2026, H.E. Mr. Chatchai Viriyavejakul, Ambassador of Thailand to China, delivered the opening remarks at the investment promotion seminar entitled “Exploring Thailand – Thailand’s Business Environment, Promotion Policy and Investment Opportunities & CCOIC Country-themed Salon: Thailand Session,” co-hosted by the Thailand Investment Promotion Office in Beijing, the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT) Commercial and Legal Service Center, and the China Chamber of International Commerce (CCOIC) on the sidelines of the 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE) at the Beijing China International Exhibition Center (Shunyi Pavilion). Mr. Nie Wenhui, Vice Chairman of CCPIT, was also in attendance. The Ambassador highlighted that Thailand-China economic relations remain dynamic and highly resilient despite a challenging global economic environment, as reflected by the continuous growth in bilateral trade and investment. As both countries step firmly into the next half-century of diplomatic relations, he emphasized the importance of promoting cooperation in next-generation sectors such as advanced electronics, the digital economy, AI, green energy, healthcare, and biotechnology. Furthermore, he reiterated the Thai Government's commitment to ensuring a business environment conducive to foreign investment by upgrading domestic infrastructure, advancing FTA negotiations, and accelerating the OECD accession process. These efforts will elevate Thailand's regulatory frameworks to align with the world’s highest standards, allowing the country to serve not just as a production base, but also a strategic launchpad into the broader global economy.
